Who we are

This website and the DraughtDesk software are operated by [your full name, trading as DraughtDesk — or company name, number and registered office once incorporated], [postal address]. For anything about your data, email info@draughtdesk.co.uk.

What we collect through this website

When you send an enquiry we receive the details you enter: your name, company, work email, team size, what you're interested in and your message.

We use them only to reply to you and discuss the services you asked about. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, and taking steps you've asked for before any contract.

What the software sends

If your organisation licenses DraughtDesk, the licence check sends your licence key, a hashed machine identifier and the software version to our licence server, so we can confirm the licence is valid. We keep this for as long as the licence is active, plus 12 months.

The optional Standards Assistant uses a Google Gemini API key that you supply. Documents you load into it are sent to Google under your own Google account and terms, not ours.

Who else handles it

  • Formspree, which delivers enquiry form submissions to our inbox.
  • Cloudflare, which hosts and protects this website and processes technical data such as IP addresses to do so.
  • Our email provider, which stores the correspondence that follows.

Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, the transfer is covered by safeguards recognised under UK data protection law.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for up to 12 months after our last contact, unless you become a customer, in which case we keep what we need to run the contract.

Cookies

This site doesn't use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. Our hosting provider may set a strictly necessary security cookie to protect the site from automated abuse.

Your rights

You can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or receive a copy. Email us and we'll respond within one month.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
